Several Minnesota businesses realize that a stylish restroom pays off. " Customers increasingly expect wow factor to continue into the restroom, " reports Alyssa Pederson of the Winona Daily News, and business operators are rewarded with ongoing referrals from customers who are quick to tell others about a good find.
One business remodeled 2 restrooms on a budget of $4000 to include the following: For the Men's Room, a painted cement floor, new wall tile, new window, toilet, and sink plus a decorative clock, plants, knick-knacks, wall art and a 13-inch TV facing the toilet. Improvements to the Ladies' Room included an ornate painted dresser, an attractive mirror, free feminine products, hand lotion, real hand towels, rag-rolled walls, flowers, and a motion-activated trash can. The customers love it.
A town bar installed a 1-way mirror in the men's bathroom more than 30 years ago. Men standing at the urinal can keep their eye on the entire bar, and the owner says the bathroom gets customers in the door and keeps them coming back. Customers use the restroom as an attraction to show others, and once inside, they have some beer.
Another bar offers comfort in the form of a recliner in the ladies room.
Amenities such as these can be added for a small investment that will provide a cost-effective testimonial to your customer service and offer rich returns in the form of customer loyalty.
